Lillian Disney commissioned the construction of this beautiful harpsichord for Club 33 in New Orleans Square. The hand-painted scene on the underside of the lid depicts a 19th century view of New Orleans.
"It is a curious thing that the more the world shrinks because of electronic communications, the more limitless becomes the province of the storytelling entertainer"

Cool find! Hopefully we get some more of these.
I was told that the scene on the instrument was painted by imagineer Collin Campbell. He was layout artist on Lady and the Tramp and layout stylist on One Hundred and One Dalmatians.
Jeff, Do you have a closer picture of the lid painting?
From all of us that will probably not have the good fortune to dine at Club 33 - great photo!
I took the liberty to upload a closer shot of the lid to my blog...
Thanks, Hans!
Beautiful. Thanks, Hans!
