Souvenirs: The EPCOT Mint

Another fun category of Walt Disney World souvenirs is the commemorative coin. Roughly the size of a half dollar, they are typically themed to individual parks or special occasions and are often quite detailed in their sculpted surfaces.

In celebration of EPCOT Center's 25th Anniversary, here are three different coins, each from a different decade of EPCOT's operation.

That's a great souvenir. My son collects the pressed pennies and quarters. I almost have more pictures of the pressed penny machines than anything else!

It was actually the driving quest on our last vacation. I have to admit, though, it is one of the cheapest souvenirs on property.

Somewhere amongst the many boxes my parents have of my childhood stuff (hopefully), I have the coin represented in the middle of your picture.

I used to collect those commemorative coins when my family would travel places.

There is also the EPCOT Center coin that has all the pavillion logos on it.

I have the middle coin in keychain form - I got it in 1996 because I remember getting a similar one for the 25th anniversary. I bought the one on the right just last year. Nothing beats the original flower logo on the back, but I love that they kept the fountain.
