It Came From the Snack Bar

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is one of the coolest concepts at Disney-MGM Studios. From the great set design to the entertaining clips to the exterior billboard that displays this 1950s style poster, it's a really fun experience. The food on the other hand . . .

It seems to be a trend with a lot of Disney restaurants. They start with menus as good as their theme concepts and above-average food, and a ot of them just slide as the day-to-day operation goes on.

I had thought on my recent trip that the food was one of the better offerings at WDW so i don't know what you are talking about

Opinions are subjective. However, The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World only rated it two stars. Their reader survey ranked it second worst of all full service restaurants on property.

While the food is by no means terrible, it is extremely overpriced. You're essentially paying premium prices for counter service quality. The menu is structured to support assembly line production. If you notice, the film clips are on a loop that lasts 37 minutes--that's exactly how quick they want to cycle you through your meal and then bring in the next guests behind you.

I ate here and it was pretty awesome. The theming was incredible, it reminded me of the 1950s restaurant in "Pulp Fiction." I thought the food was actually pretty good....
