I find the whole Davy Crockett phenomenon fascinating. The films/episodes themselves are so interesting because at once they're so entertaining yet so baldly propagandistic. It's like the American Aeneid with Walt as Virgil.
Isn't that where "Gone With The Wind" premiered in 1939?

Sorry, don't see it. Unless you consider a story about a man fighting for freedom, tolerance and against corruption somehow propaganda. That makes 75% of the words lit propaganda then.
