According to the web site, "Glago's Guest follows the intriguing and thought-provoking story of a lonely Russian soldier stationed at a remote Siberian outpost. When the soldier's solitude is interrupted one day by the arrival of a strange new 'guest,' Glago is jolted out of his uneventful daily routine but soon comes to realize that things aren't always what they appear be." Conceived and directed by Chris Williams, the short will be a sharp contrast in theme and style to Williams' slightly more high profile feature directorial debut. That would be Bolt.
The Ballad of Nessie is purported to have ". . . art direction evocative of the Disney shorts of the 1940s and 50s." It is directed by Stevie Wermers and Kevin Deters.

They both sound great. I am glad to see the shorts return. The Pixar shorts have always been entertaining and highly original. I wonder if the Studio will get back to providing shorts at the beginning of most of their releases.
ReplyDeleteI noticed these while looking ath the site, and I really want to see The Ballad of Nessie... I sincerely hope it coincides with a film I actually want to see as well. Preceed The Princess and the Frog with that and I'll be a happy camper.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for these. They look great! Also, if you like this article check out BlueSky's take on it last year. Again, can't wait. I certainly hope they start to make more than a couple a year.
